Anyone who believes they may have recently been pulled over by someone impersonating a first responder is asked to contact police.
According to the Kittanning Barracks of the State Police, sometime around June 22nd a woman was stopped by a vehicle driven by a person that identified themselves as being with a fire rescue company.
This occurred along Clearfield Pike in Rayburn Township but also may have occurred other times with other drivers and vehicles around the area. An exact description of the vehicle has not been made public but the vehicle is believed to be a Ford Explorer at least a couple years old with blue and white or blue and red emergency lights.
This incident remains under investigation and no one has been charged. Those who believe they also could have been pulled over by a first responder impersonator are asked to contact the Mercer Barracks of the State Police and reference incident number PA2020-876128.
