Governor Tom Wolf is now opening up vaccine eligibility for all Pennsylvanians starting tomorrow.
Wolf said that everyone in the state over the age of 16 will now be able to schedule a vaccine appointment.
Wolf emphasized the importance of an increased speed in the vaccine rollout as cases and hospitalizations rise.
Locally, Butler Memorial Hospital has a few openings left this week for vaccine appointments, but many are now available next week. View the scheduling page here.
For those without access to the internet, you can call 888-550-SHOT (7468) to talk with the Center for Community Resources, who will help schedule an appointment.
“Everyone needs and should be afforded the opportunity to access the vaccine as soon as possible,” Acting Sec. of Health Alison Beam said. “And, this change provides earlier access for many, including college students increasing the likelihood of completion of two-dose regimens prior to leaving campus for the summer. It also means simpler, streamlined operations for vaccine providers that no longer need to check eligibility of people making appointments.”
