The snow started around 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning and didn’t let up all day long.
Emergency crews were busy yesterday handling a number of accidents across Butler County. More than a dozen accidents were called into the county’s 911 center over the last 24 hours. There were also plenty of instances where cars got stuck going up hills. Center Avenue was a tricky venture for some, with multiple cars and trucks pulled over after attempting to climb the hill on the south side. Most main roads were in fairly good shape by Thursday morning.
Secondary roads are a bit trickier if they haven’t been treated by crews yet. PennDOT is asking that you give their trucks enough space to clear the roads.
Official snow totals were not immediately available, although it is estimated between 7-10 inches for parts of Butler County.
