The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Cincinnati Reds 5-1 Monday. Trevor Williams did not allow a run over 6-2/3rds innings of work. He allowed five hits and struck out four to earn his 12th win of the year. Adam Frazier had four hits, driving in three runs and scoring twice. Gregory Polanco had two hits, including his 23rd home run of the year.
The Bucs host the Reds again tonight at PNC Park. Joe Musgrove will go to the mound for the Pirates at 7:05pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 6:40pm.
