The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 54-51 in the highest scoring Monday Night Football game in history. It was the third-highest scoring game in NFL history. Rams quarterback Jared Goff threw for 413 yards and four touchdowns. Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw six touchdown passes.
The Pitt football team has lost starting center Jimmy Morrissey for the season. The redshirt sophomore suffered a broken ankle on the Panthers final touchdown against Wake Forest Saturday. Pitt will visit Miami Saturday.
Duquesne was selected to the FCS football tournament and will face Towson State Saturday in Maryland. Kick-off is 2pm. Defending national champion North Dakota is the top seed.
Slippery Rock will visit New Haven in the second round of the NCAA Division II tournament. The Rock enters the game 10-2. New Haven is 9-2. Kick-off is 1pm. Hear the game on The Rock Station 97.7 at 12:30pm.
