A local business continues to give back to those in need this holiday season.
David and Lisa Cook, owners of When Pigs Fly BBQ, cooked and served over 240 complete Thanksgiving meals including turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, yams, fruit cup and dessert to local Veterans and homeless or needy individuals and families this holiday.
Most of the cost and all the labor was covered by David and Lisa since they didn’t receive many donations this year. They did not set up a GoFundMe account as they have in the past.
They also will be feeding veterans and homeless or needy again on Christmas Eve with a different menu. They are accepting food and monetary donations to help with the cost of providing so many meals.
