The Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Baltimore Ravens Sunday. Kick-off is 1pm. Pre-game begins at noon on WISR 680am. The Steelers enter the game 4-2-1 overall. Baltimore is 4-4. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco passed for 363 yards and two touchdowns against the Steelers in September.
Thursday Night Football: San Francisco pounded the Oakland Raiders 34-3. 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns in his first appearance in an NFL game.
The Pitt football team will visit Virginia tonight. Kick-off is 7:30pm. The Panthers enter the game 4-4 overall, but are 3-1 in the ACC . The Cavaliers are 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the ACC.
Penn State will visit #5-ranked Michigan Saturday. Kick-off is 3:45pm. Pre-game begins at 2pm on WBUT 1050am.
The Slippery Rock University football team will host Gannon Saturday in their final regular season game. Kick-off is 1pm. The Coach Shawn Lutz Show begins at 12:30pm on The Rock Station 97.7fm. The Rock will host West Chester in the state championship game next Saturday.
High School Football Playoffs this weekend:
6A: Seneca Valley will face Central Catholic at Fox Chapel tonight, with the winner facing North Allegheny in the semifinals. N.A. and Pine-Richland each received first-round “byes”
5A: Mars will host Woodland Hills tonight.
3A: Freeport will face Aliquippa tonight at Ambridge high school. North Catholic will face Quaker Valley at North Park tonight.
All of the WPIAL games tonight begin at 7:30pm.
In the District-9 playoffs: Moniteau will face Clarion in the 2A first round tonight at Clarion University. Kick-off is 7pm.
In the District-10 3A playoffs: Slippery Rock will face Harbor Creek in the opening round of the 3A playoffs Saturday at Erie Stadium. Undefeated Grove City will meet Girard at Slippery Rock University Saturday. Both games begin at 7pm.
Two Butler Midget Football teams will play for Super Bowl titles Saturday. The Butler Midget Varsity team will face Pine-Richland White Saturday at Shaler high school in the Super Bowl. Kick-off is 5pm. The 9-10 year old JV team will face Mars this Saturday in the Super Bowl. The game begins at 2:30pm also at Shaler high school.
