The Veterans Day Parade is this morning in Downtown Butler.
Parade organizers say they are expecting a great turnout for the parade this year.
The parade will begin at 10:40 a.m. starting at Main and Penn Streets and heading toward the Diamond. No parking will be allowed on Main Street and side streets starting at 9 a.m. Traffic will be shut down at 10 a.m.
There are multiple high school bands participating in the parade this year as well.
The parade will stop briefly at 11 a.m. to honor the Armistice; there will be a moment of silence, followed by a 21-gun salute, and then the playing of Taps.
Any veteran interested in marching in the parade, can go to Penn Street before the parade begins.
