Officials say the Butler VA Health Care System they have received over 1,600 doses of the Moderna COVID vaccine so far.
At a press conference yesterday, leaders at the Butler VA said they’ve inoculated veterans who are eligible under the state’s current guidance. They’ve also administered shots to about 300 current employees.
Currently, the vaccine is being provided to veterans above the age of 85 that are enrolled in the VA Health Care System. Officials say if you are above 85 and not enrolled, you can call 878-271-6914.
However, if you are enrolled and above 85 you can schedule an appointment to receive a vaccine at 878-271-6753.
VA officials also say they have not currently had discussions with their central office about the VA serving as a mass vaccination clinic when the COVID-19 vaccine becomes available to the general public.
