Canada defeated Finland 5-3 Monday afternoon in the 4 Nations Face-off tournament to earn a rematch with the United States in the championship game Thursday night. Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby had a goal and an assist in the game.
Sweden defeated the United States 2-1 in the late game last night. The U.S. rested several star players during that game, which lost its importance after the Canada victory earlier in the day. Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson had an assist for Sweden.
The United States team is being led by Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan. Face-off Thursday will be 8pm. The game will be televised on ESPN.
The Penguins return to NHL play with back-to-back games at home this weekend.
