The City of Butler recognized a special accomplishment for two Butler natives with proclamations issued during Thursday’s Butler City Council meeting.
Friday has been declared Grand Master Robert Zang Day in the City of Butler while Saturday has been declared Master James (Jimmy) Stewart Day.
Both men have recently been named to the International Karate and Kickboxing Hall of Fame in addition to a wide variety of other martial arts accomplishments. Proclamations from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives honoring both men were also read at the meeting.
Mayor Ben Smith presented both men with plaques containing keys to the city.
