As the weather turns colder, driving conditions on the Turnpike may become a little more treacherous.
State officials are reminding drivers of the Turnpike Roadside Safety team. According to Rosemary Placey of the Turnpike Commission, the service is available for all drivers.
“Our roadway safety patrol basically surveils our 564 mile roadway 24-hours a day, seven days a week,” Placey said. “And we’re always there to respond to customers in need of assistance.”
Placey says if you are stranded, you can call STAR-1-1 (*11) and give a description of the milemarker and the direction you are traveling.
