
A local organization will receive a state grant to help young people recently released from jail return to the workforce.
The PA Department of Labor and Industry has awarded the Tri-County Workforce Investment Board a $500,000 Youth Reentry Demonstration Project grant.
This money will be used to implement a program piloted in Butler County to engage adults ages 18 to 24 in a career pathway leading to education, training, or employment after incarceration.
A minimum of 60 young adults will receive help from this program which will receive coordination from Butler County Community College and run for the next two years.
