The Butler Transit Authority is addressing a mistake that was made at their new facility addition while waiting for state approval of capital grant funding.
At their meeting Tuesday night, the Authority Board of Directors approved a nearly $10,000 change order to make the new waiting area sidewalk ADA compliant. The previous sidewalk was at too steep of an angle. This money will come from state grant funding for the project.
The Authority Board also approved a local match of nearly $9,000 towards state grant funding of nearly $264,000 for capital projects. As this funding has not yet been approved by the state, the projects to be undertaken with that money will be announced at a later date.
