Electricity is reportedly out for many in the Center Township area.
According to West Penn Power’s website, as of 6:30 AM, upwards of 1,800 customers are affected. Crews have been dispatched to the area. Power is expected to be restored by around 9:30am.
Our newsroom is working to confirm if this outage has any relation to a transformer that exploded this morning in Center Twp.
The call into the 9-1-1 indicated that unit was at Hendricks Road and Spring Run Road. That call came into the emergency center around 5:40am.
