Thousands of county residents are without power after last night’s strong storms.
As of 5 a.m., there were just over 1,500 First Energy customers without power and more than 2,700 Central Electric residents who also have outages.
Butler County started feeling the impacts from the strong wind around 7 p.m. Since that time, the 911 Center has handled more than 50 calls for downed trees and wires.
There were also numerous road closures last night due to storms; there may still be some impacts on side streets early this morning.
