The Saxonburg Carnival gets underway beginning Tuesday.
It’s the 88th edition of the carnival. The annual event kicks off at 6 p.m. and tonight’s main event is the pet parade, which starts at the borough building at 7 p.m.
Admission is free tonight but ride bands are $15.
On Monday night, Saxonburg celebrated a community day, in which Main Street in Saxonburg was shut down to allow people to visit the local shops with different food trucks and vendors lining the main drag. Also kids could get their face painted and tour fire trucks.
The carnival runs through Saturday.
