Through the generosity of local businesses, the City of Butler will have a fireworks show this 4th of July.
Butler City Mayor Ben Smith read off a list during a Butler City Council meeting on Thursday of several companies who donated to the city for the fireworks.
At a meeting earlier this month, the city pledged to try to find $5,000 in their budget for a small display after not receiving any donations this year. Since then, the city has received more than $15,000 in donations.
Officials say the city won’t have to use any money from its budget and will be able to put on a display similar to ones put on for residents in year’s past.
