It was a tough day for Pittsburgh Sports.
The Pittsburgh Penguins were shut out by the Ottawa Senators, 5-0.
Goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 12 of 17 shots before being pulled in favor of Tristan Jarry, who stopped all 5 shots he faced.
The Penguins return to action today to host the Tampa Bay Lightning. Pregame begins at 4:30 PM on WISR with face-off at 5 PM.
The Pittsburgh Steelers fell to the Baltimore Ravens in their Wild Card Round matchup last night, 28-14.
The Steelers went down 21-0 heading into halftime and never recovered. Derrick Henry rushed for 186 yards for the Ravens, who will advance to the Divisional Round.
The Steelers have now gone win-less in their last 4 post-season trips, including a 5-game losing streak that dates back to the AFC Championship game in 2016.
College Basketball
The Pitt Men’s basketball team fell to Louisville, 82-78. Their record is now 12-4.
The SRU Men’s and Women’s basketball teams each won yesterday. The Women’s team won 60-57 over Lake Erie College. The Men’s team won 102-66 over Penn State-New Kensington.
