The Pittsburgh Steelers announced their final cuts of training camp, as all NFL teams were required to trim their rosters down to 53 players by Saturday afternoon.
Headlining the cuts made by the Steelers was quarterback Landry Jones, who served as the second string quarterback in recent years. He played in Pittsburgh for five years after being selected in the fourth round of the 2013 draft.
Other cuts included running back Fitzgerald Toussaint, former Pitt receiver and returner Quadree Henderson, former Pitt linebacker Matt Galambos (who was on the Steelers’ practice squad in 2017), wide receiver Trey Griffey and tight end Bucky Hodges. In total, the Steelers cut 31 players.
