The Pittsburgh Steelers begin training camp today with their first open practice in Latrobe. They will practive 11 time over the next 12 days. Veterans reported Wednesday, with wide receiver Antonio Brown showing up with his family in a helicopter.
Wide receiver Eli Rogers signed a one-year contract with the Steelers yesterday. Rogers was injured in the playoff loss to Jacksonville. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, but was cleared by doctors last week, and is ready for training camp.
Offensive lineman Bryce Harris failed his conditioning test Wednesday. The 29-year old veteran was signed after third-year tackle Jerald Hawkins was lost for the season in spring practice. The Steelers lost swing tackle Chris Hubbard to free agency after last season.
