The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran linebacker Kwon Alexander to a one-year contract. He started 12 games last season with the New York Jets. The fourth-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had visited the Steelers in May, but remained a free agent as teams reported to training camp over the last week.
Two-time Super Bowl champion running back Sony Michel has decided to retire as the opening week of training camp for the Los Angeles Rams began. The 28-year old Michel was entering his sixth season in the NFL. He won a Super Bowl ring during his rookie season with New England, and another with the Rams three years later.
