28-year old middle linebacker Miles Jack has come out of retirement and has been signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad. Jack played 13 games last season for the Steelers and led them with 104 tackles. He was released after the season and not picked up as a free agent.
The Steelers have also lost another safety to injury, with Elijah Riley being placed on injured reserve following the Cleveland loss. The Steelers have signed veteran safety Eric Rowe to their practice squad. The 31-year old was a second-round pick of Philadelphia in 2015. He played in six games with Miami last season and has 56 career starts.
