After delaying his announcement last week, Pennsylvania’s senate leader made it official this week he’s running for governor.
Jake Corman says his experience in Harrisburg makes him the best candidate in the race to replace Governor Tom Wolf.
The 57-year-old Corman has been in the state senate since 1999. He was originally going to announce his candidacy last week, but tested positive for COVID.
Corman is now the 11th person to formally run for the seat in the Republican primary, but the field could still grow as a few other contemplate running for governor.
