Pennsylvania lawmakers are set to see one of the biggest salary raises in years.
Starting today, an automatic pay raise begins that will add more than $5,000 a year to their annual salary; meaning state representatives and senators will make over $95,000 per year.
Raises for the executive and judicial branches will begin next year.
This happens because of a 1995 law that tied lawmaker raises to the U.S. Consumer Price Index.
