The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is looking for people to serve on their Damage Prevention Committee.
The Damage Prevention Committee is part of the independent Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement with a focus on reducing the number of strikes to underground utilities.
Candidates from three specific industry categories are needed, namely non-municipally owned or affiliated facility owner industries, excavators, and municipal governments.
This committee will meet regularly in Harrisburg to review alleged violations and determine appropriate responses.
The deadline for nominations is October 25th and new appointees will begin their three-year terms in 2020.
