State police are releasing crash data from this past New Year’s holiday weekend.
Over the three-day period, police investigated 336 crashes across the state. Five people died in those accidents, while another 68 were injured.
Police say alcohol was a factor in 47 of those crashes.
The five fatal crashes were more than last year, which had zero fatalities over the holiday weekend. However, all other statistics were down compared to 2022.
