Many Slippery Rock University students were not yet born on September 11th, 2001 but administrators plan to mark the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks with nearly a week of programming.
Beginning Tuesday, SRU faculty, staff, and student organizations will lead events on campus such as a memorial ceremony and a stair challenge.
A public presentation by a former Marine who was in the bunker of President George W. Bush on 9/11 is planned for Tuesday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Miller Theater at the Performing Arts Center.
A civil engineering presentation is planned for Wednesday, followed by a concert on Thursday, and an online discussion panel about foreign policy on Friday.
