Slippery Rock University is setting another ambitious goal for their annual Day of Giving.
Friday is the 9th year for the fundraising drive and university officials hope to set another record for the amount collected.
Last year, the drive collected more than $870,000 in donations to support scholarships, clubs, student organizations and more.
SRU’s Day of Giving always coincides with the Founders’ Day celebration marking the anniversary of the first SRU class in 1889. Those interested in making a donation can visit the SRU Giving Day website, call the university, or mail a donation to the SRU Foundation.
