March Madness starts today, which means sportsbooks across the state are expecting big business.
It comes after a slower February in which the state’s sportsbooks saw the lowest handle since November. Over $509 million were bet through online and retail sportsbooks last month; although experts noted only one NFL game was played in February so a pullback was expected.
February’s bets produced $16.4 million in taxable revenue for Pennsylvania.
