Fitzpatrick has missed the past four games because of a hamstring injury. But barring a setback during the final practice of the week Friday, he will play.
Joining Fitzpatrick as a starter on defense to return after a multi-game injury absence is defensive lineman Montravius Adams, who also was listed as a full participant on Thursday’s injury report. Adams has missed three games because of an ankle injury.

Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry made history Thursday when he became the first netminder to score a goal for the franchise during a 4-2 road win against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla.
The goal came in the third period after the Lightning pulled goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy for an extra attacker.
Stopping 39 of 41 shots, Jarry’s record rose to 8-8-1.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have hired Sarah Gelles, who spent the past five years as the Houston Astros’ director of research and development, as an assistant general manager, a source told TribLive.
Gelles becomes the highest-ranking woman in the Pirates’ baseball operations staff, working with general manager Ben Cherington and alongside assistant GMs Kevan Graves and Steve Sanders.

Andy Kotelnicki, Kansas’ innovative and creative play-caller, is expected to be hired as Penn State’s new offensive coordinator, a source..
Kotelnicki will be the sixth offensive coordinator in Franklin’s 11 years in Happy Valley after the Nittany Lions fired Mike Yurcich a day after losing to Michigan on Nov. 11.

Buffalo Bills pass rusher Von Miller has been charged with assaulting a pregnant woman, a third-degree felony. Miller turned himself in yesterday and was released after posting $5,000 bail. Miller is accused of assaulting his long-time girlfriend on Wednesday at their home in Dallas. The woman later denied that the assault happened.
PRO GOLF: Tiger Woods played in his first tournament since April yesterday. He finished the first round at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas with a 75, three strokes over par, placing him 18th in a field of 20. Woods plans to compete next at the PNC Championship in mid-December with his talented son, Charlie Woods.
