A tentative agreement is in place between the South Butler County School District and the teachers union to extend the current contract.
According to a press release from the district, the three year extension would begin when the current contract expires at the end of June 2022. This extension has not yet received final approval.
Details of the contract have not yet been made public but will be shared once the South Butler County Education Association has had a chance to share the information with members.
Informal discussions between district board members and teachers representatives took place during meetings in July and August before formal negotiations were set to begin in January.
