The alert was issued for the central part of the county around 7:20 p.m., as rotation was picked up on radars by the National Weather Service.
However, early indications are that there was no tornado activity in the county.
There were more than a dozen calls for downed trees and wires. First Energy says there are just over 50 homes in the county without power this morning.
Tornado activity is suspected in Hampton Township, Allegheny County. A roof was taken off a home and multiple trees were down throughout the area. National Weather Service investigators will check out the scene later today.
