Slippery Rock is getting into the holiday spirit early this year as dozens of volunteers were on-hand earlier this week to set up the large Christmas tree in the downtown area.
Students and faculty from Slippery Rock University, volunteer firefighters, and municipal employees were at Slippery Rock’s Memorial Park installing the 35-foot artificial tree earlier this week.
The tree will serve as the focal point of the Festival of Trees in Slippery Rock—a 10 day event that kicks off Friday, December 3rd.
