Construction will officially begin on a big new project in the Seneca Valley School District with an event planned for later today.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Seneca Valley Aquatic Center is planned for 5 p.m. at the Seneca Valley Intermediate High School.
Several speakers will discuss the project and pose for a groundbreaking photo. A virtual tour of what will be constructed is available through the Seneca Valley School District website.
This project is planned to be completed by the spring of 2020 and will replace the current swimming facility which is 54 years old.
