Students at a local district have been awarded a large amount of funding for their art program with a little help from the community.
Seneca Valley High School art students recently created two sculptural shoes which placed in the top five schools in the country in the 10th annual Vans Custom Culture competition.
The running-up finish which was determined by online votes has resulted in a donation of $10,000 for the high school art department.
The Custom Culture competition is a national high school customization contest to use blank Vans shoes as the basis for a unique creation around a specific theme.
