In Boys Basketball last night — section titles remain up for grabs heading into the final regular-season games later this week:
–North Catholic edged Knoch 54-53 last night. The Trojans win sets up an interesting Friday night. If North Catholic wins at Deer Lakes, they win their Class 4A section. If Deer Lakes wins, and Knoch defeats Freeport in Saxonburg, all three teams will share section title.
–Butler edged Pine-Richland in a buzzer-beater 47-46. The Golden Tornado’s is now 14-6 overall and 7-6 in section play. Butler’s final regular season game will be of section-title importance. The Golden Tornado host Fox Chapel Friday night. Fox Chapel lost to New Castle 58-41 last night. Both teams are now tied at 10-3 for the Class 6A Section 1 lead heading into the final regular season game.
–Woodland Hills defeated Seneca Valley 53-51 to keep playoff hopes alive. Seneca Valley is now 11-10 overall and 8-5 in section play. The Raiders have already clinched a playoff spot
