A couple of local municipalities are considering an agreement to cooperate on road maintenance and police service.
Saxonburg Borough Mayor Bill Gillespie Jr recently attended a meeting of Jefferson Township Supervisors to discuss a meeting with the Borough Council about an intergovernmental agreement.
The agreement could include maintenance of Constitution Avenue and other shared roads. A meeting with Saxonburg Police officers could include a discussion of police coverage in Jefferson Township.
Supervisor Chairman John Cypher was appointed to represent Jeferson Township in these discussions.
