The Pittsburgh Pirates dropped the first game of a 3-game series at Oracle Park in San Francisco Friday night by a score of 3-0.
Starting pitcher Quinn Priester pitched 6 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts. Michael Taylor and Ke’Bryan Hayes each had 2 hits in the game.
The Pirates and Giants took a 0-0 game into the ninth inning before David Bednar allowed a 3-run walk-off home run to catcher Patrick Bailey to end the game.
The Pirates and Giants return to action tonight at 9:05 PM. WISR pre-game begins at 8:40.
NFL Draft
The NFL draft continues today with rounds 4-7. The Pittsburgh Steelers have a fourth and 2 sixth round picks remaining.
Last night the Steelers drafted Center Zach Frazier from WVU in the second round. They followed that with two picks in the third round: WR Roman Wilson from Michigan and LB Payton Wilson from NC State.
