The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Atlanta Braves 3-2 last night in the first of three games over the weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. Jameson Taillon got his 11th win of the season for the Pirates and Felipe Vazquez recorded his 29th save of the season. Diaz, Freese and Polanco each had one RBI for the Pirates. The Altoona Curve defeated the Bowie Baysox 9-5 in 11 innings in Bowie last night. The Curve are now 76-59 on the season with a couple games remaining this weekend before the post-season starts. The Curve and Baysox play again tonight at 6:35 P.M. in Bowie.
