The Pittsburgh Pirates lost 13-10 last night against the San Francisco Giants. It wasn’t a good pitching night for the Pirates as emergency starter Clay Holmes gave up seven runs, all earned in two and two thirds innings. The pitching as a whole did not fare much better as they walked 11 batters during the game while giving up the 13 runs. The Pirates bats did come alive though with 10 runs on 17 hits but it just wasn’t enough. Starter Derek Holland got the win for the Giants. Pirates are now 60-57 on the season. Both Teams are back in action tonight, pre-game show is set for 8:40 P.M. You can listen to all the action on WISR 680am. Tonight’s starters are for the Pirates Trevor Williams (9-8, 3.88 ERA) and Ty Bach (6-6, 4.28 ERA) for the Giants. First-pitch is set for 9:05 P.M.

The Altoona Curve lost 3-1 last night to the Erie SeaWolves. The Curve are now 61-52 on the Season.
In the last golf major of the year, the 100th PGA championship, the second round currently is in suspended play due to darkness. The current leader at 10 under par is Gary Woodland; he has completed his second round. The second round will finish today and the third round will be played today as well.
