Candidates running for a seat on the South Butler County School Board will have present their opinions on various issues affecting the district at an event on Wednesday evening.
A “School Board Candidates Forum” will begin at 7 p.m. inside Cooper Hall on North Rebecca Street in Saxonburg.
This is not an opportunity for debate…instead every candidate appearing on the ballot for South Butler School Board Director has been invited to share their thoughts on a variety of topics with the public.
This event is sponsored by the South Butler School Action Committee. The event will be live streamed via the group’s Facebook page.
Voters in the South Butler district have seven candidates to choose from in next week’s primary election. There are five open seats on the school board.
Two of the candidates (board president Donna Eakin and member Debra Miller) are running for re-election. The other five candidates (Andrew Adams, Dale Fennell, Timothy Danehy, David McRandal and William Gebhart) are newcomers.
