Motorists in southern Butler County should be aware of the partial closure of a busy highway this weekend.
The closure of Route 19 in Marshall Township, Allegheny County from Thorn Hill Road to Warrendale Bayne Road begins Friday at 8 p.m. and will continue until 5 a.m. Monday.
Crews will be removing bridge beams from the original overhead bridge that carries the PA Turnpike over Route 19.
Detours will be posted northbound and southbound using Interstate 79, Route 910, and Route 228. If weather prevents this work from being done, the project will be shifted to the following weekend.
