A local lawmaker is taking a leading role in the possible impeachment of the Philadelphia District Attorney.
Representative Tim Bonner, a Republican whose district spans Butler and Mercer Counties, has been chosen as one of three impeachment managers in the upcoming trial of Larry Krasner.
House Resolution 240 officially impeached Krasner but the process now advances to the state Senate for trial proceedings. Bonner will help to exhibit the articles of impeachment to the Senate and manage the trial on behalf of the House.
This process could result in removal from office which requires a two-thirds majority vote of the state Senate.
