The Butler Rotary is hoping to brighten up sidewalks in the City of Butler this weekend.
The Rotary is hosting chalk artist Erika Lalita Thurkins who will lead a “Chalk the Walk” in front of the YMCA and Emily Brittain. She will be working on a commissioned piece and is also inviting the community to help in coloring designs on the walkways.
Thurkins, who is a Pittsburgh-based artist, is known for creating dynamic street art for regional and national festivals.
The event is open to the public and runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
