President Trump will visit western Pennsylvania next week to host a campaign rally.
The event in Erie will mark the president’s 23rd campaign rally in Pennsylvania and his second in Erie in the past three years. The president is expected to discuss the economy, and also encourage Pennsylvanians to get out and vote for republicans this November, including U.S. Senate hopeful Lou Barletta.
“With just 34 days from today until the midterm elections, the president looks forward to celebrating the success of the booming Trump economy that’s creating new jobs and bigger paychecks for the hard-working men and women of the Keystone State,” said Michael Glassner, the chief operating officer for Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., in a prepared statement.
In a statement, local Congressman Mike Kelly said he will help welcome the president to Erie.
“I am honored and excited that President Trump will be returning to Erie, a place that was critical to his election victory in Pennsylvania. Under his administration, the American economy is winning again in every measurable way. The progress our country has seen over the past 20 months is incredible. President Trump understands that the mid-term election is essential to ensuring that his pro-growth, pro-family, pro-American policies continue.”
The president will speak at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the Erie Insurance Arena.
