Following the impeachment of President Donald Trump for the second time, local lawmakers are offering their reaction.
Republican Mike Kelly of Butler voted against impeachment, saying in a statement that the President did not commit impeachable offenses and that he told people to peacefully protest.
Fellow Republican Glenn “GT” Thompson of the 15th Congressional District also voted against impeachment.
Democrat Conor Lamb, who represents Cranberry Township, voted to impeach the President. He said in a statement that Trump is a “clear and ongoing threat to our community, our military, and to our government.”
