A Venango County man will face criminal homicide charges in connection with the death of a Parker woman.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Franklin Barracks of the State Police, 48-year-old Clayton Hindman has been charged following an arrest in Missouri last month and extradition back to Pennsylvania.
This incident started July 25th when police were called by Hindman’s daughter to make a welfare check at her father’s home on Hillcrest Avenue in Polk- which is a small town just north of Butler County near Franklin. Police got inside and found a woman’s badly decomposed body in the living room. Hindman was not there.
The deceased victim was later identified as 38-year-old Salina Chilson who was reported missing July 3 to the Emlenton Borough Police Department. The Venango County Coroner estimated the victim had been deceased a few weeks.
Hindman’s mother told investigators that she had been in contact with Hindman’s most recent girlfriend who lives in Missouri. When he showed up to her house unannounced, Hindman allegedly told his girlfriend that he had killed a man in self defense. Hindman later called PA State Police to tell them he was surrendering in Missouri.
