A restaurant in downtown Butler was damaged Wednesday night when a police vehicle hit the front of the building.
The accident happened just before 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and East Cunningham. Police say a vehicle ran a red light and a City officer driving a police SUV swerved to miss a collision.
That’s when the officer’s vehicle hit the front of Butler Penne.
No one was injured in the accident, but the crash did cause windows in the front of the building to shatter. The full extent of the damage isn’t known.
