Authorities are investigating a recent scam that resulted in a significant loss for a Center Township resident.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, an unknown individual who was impersonating a PayPal fraud specialist contacted the victim last month.
Police say that the suspect was then able to obtain nearly $6,200 from the victim’s PayPal account.
It is unclear if any other area residents have fallen victim to this scam.
